The periodic inspection under the OIBT (the Swiss Low-Voltage Installations Ordinance) is not a sales pitch: the grid operator requests it, and you are free to choose the inspection body that carries it out. How it works.
A hotel, a nursing home or a restaurant falls under a five-year inspection cycle. Two exceptions worth knowing: a hotel with fewer than ten rooms and a restaurant with fewer than fifty seats stay on ten years. In every case, our inspections are carried out with no power cut and without stopping your operations: room by room, department by department, at the times you set, usually over several half-days.
Detached houses and farms renovated in stages, recent condominiums, craft workshops: the canton of Fribourg mixes cycles — 20 years for homes, 10 years for offices and workshops, 5 years as soon as the premises are open to the public or part of the installation is in Schéma III (SH3). After non-residential work, an acceptance inspection by an independent body is required within 6 months. If you are unsure of your property's inspection cycle, we check it free of charge.
