The periodic inspection under the OIBT (the Swiss Low-Voltage Installations Ordinance) is not a sales pitch: the grid operator requests it, and you are free to choose the inspection body that carries it out. How it works.
A hotel, a nursing home or a restaurant falls under a five-year inspection cycle. Two exceptions worth knowing: a hotel with fewer than ten rooms and a restaurant with fewer than fifty seats stay on ten years. In every case, our inspections are carried out with no power cut and without stopping your operations: room by room, department by department, at the times you set, usually over several half-days.
Older buildings in the centres of Vevey and Montreux — where Schéma III (SH3) wiring brings the whole installation down to an inspection every 5 years — and condominium residences all along the lake. In the Chablais, detached houses and craft workshops fall under the 20- and 10-year cycles. After non-residential work, an independent acceptance inspection is required within 6 months.
