The OIBT is the Swiss federal ordinance on low-voltage electrical installations. It requires every electrical installation to be inspected regularly by an independent, accredited body — like us. Your grid operator (Romande Energie, SIL…) writes to you when the time comes. Similar to the roadworthiness test for cars, but for electrical installations.
For private clients: fixed all-inclusive prices, CHF 359 incl. VAT for an apartment, from CHF 459 for a detached house — travel, measurements, report and submission to the grid operator included. 15% discount for payment on site by Twint or cash.

No. The inspection is ordered and paid for by the owner or the property manager. You only need to give access to your home at the agreed time — it takes 20 to 30 minutes.
Once the grid operator's deadline has passed, the file goes to the Federal Inspectorate (ESTI) and the fees are yours to pay: the grid operator's (often ~CHF 150), then CHF 700 from ESTI. If your deadline is already tight, we offer a priority service within 2-3 working days.
In most cases, no. You receive a precise list of the corrections to be made — what, where, why — which any licensed electrician can carry out. Once repaired, the electrician returns the certificate to us and your file is closed. We send the safety report to you and to your grid operator.
If a dangerous defect is found, we can simply de-energise that socket or part of the installation until your electrician comes to fix it. (We keep the impact on your operations to a minimum.)
