Equipment designed abroad must meet Swiss standards, AND be installed according to Swiss standards, before it can be energised and used here. Discovering a non-compliance once the installation is in place is expensive: rework, sometimes a return to the factory. We are the bridge between foreign standards and Swiss safety — we check upstream, and we certify on arrival after installation if needed.
We can work with you in English, français and português.
You sell or install equipment in Switzerland and you are not familiar with the NIBT (Swiss low-voltage installation standard). A rejection at the OIBT inspection (OIBT = the Swiss Low-Voltage Electrical Installations Ordinance) means penalties, an unhappy client and ruinous return logistics. We validate compliance before it ships, and after installation if needed.
You order equipment produced outside Switzerland and you do not want to inherit the problem of a supplier who does not know our standards. We check Swiss compliance at the source, before shipping, and after installation if needed.
We can travel to the production site, in Switzerland or abroad, to audit the equipment against Swiss standards and pre-certify it before shipping. You make corrections where they cost the least: before it leaves.
Once the installation is in place in Switzerland, we carry out the official inspection and certification, as an ESTI-accredited inspection body (ESTI = Swiss Federal Inspectorate for Heavy Current Installations). The loop is closed: designed compliant, installed compliant, certified.
The official OIBT certification takes place after installation in Switzerland. What we do upstream is a compliance assessment that secures everything that follows.
Damage involving electrical equipment, technical disputes, special installations, counter-assessments: a neutral, ESTI-accredited opinion that carries weight. Already appointed as an expert by the Nyon District Court.
Geneva Airport (appointed by Adelte, Spanish manufacturer of passenger boarding bridges), pharmaceutical industry, jewellers, casinos, prisons and secure-access sites. Discretion and rigour are part of the job.
Tell us what you manufacture, import or install, and where the project stands. We tell you what it takes to pass Swiss standards — with no surprises on arrival. Fast reply, no commitment.
