Electrically compliant,
without losing a single service.

You have received a letter about an "OIBT inspection" and you're thinking: more paperwork? In plain terms: every 5 years, the electrical installation of your establishment must be inspected under the OIBT (the Swiss Low-Voltage Installations Ordinance). It is not the hygiene inspection — it is something else, and many people find out at the worst moment. When the grid operator's deadline passes, the file goes to the Federal Inspectorate (ESTI), which sets a final deadline and charges a fee of CHF 700. We take care of it before it gets that far: we inspect during quiet hours, without affecting your work.

What worries you — and what we do about it

CLOSING = LOSING

We don't close your restaurant

We come in the morning before opening, in the afternoon between services, or on your closing day. Not one table blocked, not one cover cancelled. We fit your rhythm, not the other way round.

THE KITCHEN

Where things really heat up

Cooking ranges, cold rooms, extractor hoods, three-phase sockets, stray multi-plug adapters: that is exactly where defects hide. We check what could catch fire, cause an accident, or let you down in the middle of a rush.

THE PROOF

You know where you stand

A clear report on what needs fixing. Once everything is in order, we send the safety report to the grid operator for you. The day someone asks you for proof, you have it to hand.

Hygiene and electricity are not the same thing

The municipal hygiene inspection and the OIBT electrical inspection are two different things. One does not replace the other. Having passed the cantonal inspection does not mean your electrical installation is compliant — and that is often where the surprise comes.

Free: the restaurant owner's checklist

The electrical points to check in a food-service establishment before an inspection comes up, to help you pass your OIBT inspection. A jargon-free document to go through with your chef.

Two questions we are asked

I've just taken over the lease — is the inspection my responsibility?

Often yes, as soon as you fit out or run the premises. And when the operator changes, if the last inspection is old, it generally needs to be redone. Call us with the address: we'll tell you in two minutes where you stand, without selling you anything you don't need.

And if the inspection finds defects just before a busy weekend?

Defects do not lead to closure; if there is a serious danger, only the dangerous part is switched off (a socket, an appliance, ...). We give you the list, the electrician fixes the defects within the deadline, and the file is closed. We tell you straight away what is urgent and what can wait until the following week.
