Romande Energie, or your municipality's own utility. On La Côte, it is most often Romande Energie that sends the inspection request; some municipalities have their own utility. The letter you received bears the name of the right contact, and that is who we send the report to.
The periodic inspection under the OIBT (the Swiss Low-Voltage Installations Ordinance) is not a sales pitch: the grid operator requests it, and you are free to choose the inspection body that carries it out. How it works.
One safety report is drawn up per part of the installation. In a co-owned building, that means one report for the common areas and one per apartment: the common areas fall to the co-ownership, each unit to its owner. We inspect the building in a single visit and invoice according to that split — which is what avoids arguments at the general meeting.
Detached houses and residential neighbourhoods where charging stations, heat pumps and solar PV are being added: these installations must be notified and, outside homes, followed by an acceptance inspection within 6 months. In houses whose wiring hasn't been redone since the 1980s, we still find Schéma III (SH3) wiring — the installation then moves to an inspection every 5 years.
