Depending on the municipality: your local utility or regional grid operator — the letter you received tells you which one applies to you, and we forward the report to them once the inspection is complete.
The periodic inspection under the OIBT (the Swiss Low-Voltage Installations Ordinance) is not a sales pitch: the grid operator requests it, and you are free to choose the inspection body that carries it out. How it works.
A hotel, a nursing home or a restaurant falls under a five-year inspection cycle. Two exceptions worth knowing: a hotel with fewer than ten rooms and a restaurant with fewer than fifty seats stay on ten years. In every case, our inspections are carried out without a power cut and without stopping operations: room by room, service by service, at the times you set, usually over several half-days.
Chalets and second homes: no need to be there in person — the key can be left with a caretaker or a neighbour, or in a safe place; just let us know. Solar PV is common in Valais: a new PV installation calls for an independent acceptance inspection, and we also take on orphan installations left without sign-off by their installer.
